About The Dinner Plan

Whether you're a time-strapped professional, an empty nester, feeding a houseful, or just making sure you actually eat something day after day, figuring out what’s for dinner is a heavy lift. The Dinner Plan—a podcast (available here on Spotify and Apple Podcasts) and weekly newsletter—is your resource for real-life cooking inspiration.

You’ll find dinner ideas that always hit, new cookbook recommendations and recipes from brand-new books, plus the got-no-plan moves that transform whatever’s in your fridge into tonight’s meal.

About Maggie Hoffman

I’m the author of Batch Cocktails, which is all about pitcher drinks to make for a crowd, and The One-Bottle Cocktail, which is full of drinks you can make with a single spirit. I’ve worked as a bar reviewer for the San Francisco Chronicle and written for Food + Wine, Bon Appétit, and other outlets. These days, I write What to Drink, which shares cocktail recipes and nonalcoholic drinks, plus the occasional bottle of wine.

But my heart (and most of my career) has always been in the world of food. I served as the managing editor of Serious Eats and the senior editor and then digital director of the recipe website Epicurious. Now I’ve struck out on my own, hoping to build a resource for anyone who struggles with kitchen burnout or just needs fresh ideas for dinner this week.

Free subscribers get full access to The Dinner Plan each week. But if you want to support my work and enter to win each week’s cookbook giveaway, please do sign up as a paid subscriber.
