I cannot WAIT for Greenmarket asparagus! I am a fair weather farmer's market shopper and am planning to start up again in mid-April. I am usually disappointed the first few weeks, but maybe this year will be different!! (That's what I say every year.)
That’s an incredible collection of asparagus recipes, I can’t wait to explore them! As a longtime Ottolenghi fan, I reached for Plenty and made also the raw asparagus salad from Flavour (p. 171)- such a bright and unexpected way to enjoy it. Excited to try the recipes from this list!
These all sound great, I have clearly not been experimenting enough with asparagus! My go-tos are asparagus risotto (with or without saffron), grilled asparagus with preserved lemon aioli and toasted breadcrumbs and asparagus carbonara which I discovered was a thing when I lived in Rome
Yay asparagus! Yay mustard! YUMMM

I just keep going back to check…and just keep only buying kale and mustard greens…
Maybe this will be the week!

Ooh will look for that!

Oooh I need to make some preserved lemon aioli!
I can highly recommend it! Works well with any kind of schnitzel too.
Why have I never thought to rub asparagus in mustard? Genius!
that's my go-to move! Sticks well and adds instant flavor! (You can totally grate a hard cheese on top after, if you want to gild the lily...)
