I've been making Zaynab's Preserved Lemon Loaf Cake for the past year and it has been a hit in my family. Looking forward to reading the book and incorporating more of her dishes into my routine.
Loved this episode! I like to have made some decisions ahead of time for planning (mainly to make sure I defrost proteins in time!) but I am not afraid to pivot on the day of the vibe is off. Sometimes the day arrives and that semi ambitious recipe changes to air fryer tot tacos, y’know? (Happened to me last week 😅).
Honestly, they are the best??? Chipotle mayo-sour cream, shredded cabbage, shredded cheese down on the flour tortillas (this is only reason I ever buy flour taco tortillas!) If you toss the tortillas in the air fryer for the last minute, the cheese melts easier when assembling. I’ve also thrown in some of those frozen grilled chicken strips before with the tots for a protein boost.
Wow, I'm adding this cookbook to my list. It looks right up my alley, and I love how she's decided to categorize dishes by mood! I discovered Zaynab via the video she did for BA on cinnamon rolls and have been a fan ever since!
Book looks fabulous! Zaynab’s salads (Thanks to Emily’s The Department of Salad) are great. I look forward to both the eggplant and shrimp recipes. (Not to mention the CC cookies with sesame oil!)
I love the Dinner Plan podcast and am especially excited for this cookbook. Zaynab's recipes seem unique and fresh. Can't wait to try cooking some of them!
I loved this podcast show so much! I had to come read the post as well. Thank you!💖

Shrimp, such a quick-thawing, weeknight rockstar. This recipe was so tasty!
Yay, glad you enjoyed!

I think you'll love it, Holly! And thank you for listening to the show!!
I am fully a mood-based cook!! I just don’t have the will to methodically pre-plan and then stick to said plan! So excited for this book
I think I need all my meals categorized by mood!
